Campus Master Planning, Service Line Strategy & Ambulatory Network Planning
MercyOne sought to re-evaluate the distribution of beds and outpatient services across its nine-county service area and define a forward-looking vision for its network. Percival partnered with system leadership to assess campus-level strategy, optimize service line distribution across two hospital locations, and identify more efficient care delivery models. The work also included evaluating new ambulatory care locations in priority growth markets to better align access, demand, and long-term system objectives.
Using a proprietary market prioritization approach, Percival identified the geographies with the strongest competitive positioning and return potential. The resulting roadmap outlined a clear network deployment strategy, including new ambulatory developments, repositioning of existing sites through consolidation or renovation, and alignment of real estate and virtual care strategies. The analysis ultimately identified three new clinic opportunities in high-growth markets and recommended converting an existing ambulatory center into a 20-bed micro-hospital to better meet evolving patient demand.
