Portfolio & Real Estate Strategy, Ambulatory Network Strategy
The University of Chicago Medicine (UCM) is a nationally recognized academic health system known for delivering advanced, specialized care. To better serve patients throughout Chicagoland, UCM sought to expand beyond its Hyde Park campus by developing a network of ambulatory facilities closer to where patients live and work. The goal was to improve access, convenience, and continuity of care while maintaining the system’s high standards. This expansion also represented a strategic effort to strengthen UCM’s presence in suburban markets.
UCM needed in-house expertise to analyze markets, select sites, and navigate municipal planning board approvals. To move forward, the organization needed a trusted partner with the experience to manage complex healthcare real estate development.
Percival and Remedy Medical Properties partnered with UCM to deliver its first integrated outpatient center in Orland Park. Completed on time and on budget, the project not only expanded UCM’s reach but also supported the Village’s mixed-use development plans. The facility stands as an example of how expert development partners can create successful, community-enhancing outcomes for healthcare systems.
